ALAnoud ALFehaidi is graduated with a Bachelor of science Degree in Human Nutrition from Qatar university, in 2009. joined HMC in October 2010. Ms. ALFehaidi is Head Dietitian, in Rumailha ,Enaya Specialized Care Centre (ESCC) 1&2 ,RCC1 and DAAM Specialized Care Centre at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar. She is an active member of several committees, which focus on patient care, safety and management. also uses a patient-centred and holistic approach to nutritional disease management, implies Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and motivational interviewing techniques with distressed, resistant and hostile patients during his clinical reasoning. She is official preceptor for students from Qatar University affiliated to the Department of Health Sciences - Human Nutrition Program , undertaken The Student Supervisory Skills Course to provide training to students and also to facilitate transition of newly qualified dietitians to autonomous qualified practitioners. Ms. ALFehaidi completed quality courses like HHQI’S intermediate quality improvement course (IQIC) 2021, Clinical Care Improvement Training Program (CCITP) Cycle 12 – 2017, and fundementals of quality improvement course. Ms. ALFehaidi graduated from international courses like Certificate Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review from American college of lifestyle medicine 2021, Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine of Clinical Medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College –Qatar, Certificate Health & Wellness Empowerment from college of the north Atlantic –Qatar 2020, Certificate from college of the north Atlantic –Qatar about Leadership in Healthcare 2020 and certificate in clinical nutrition from Weill Cornell Medical College –Qatar Ms. ALFehaidi possesses extensive experience and skills in teaching and he has regularly been involved in developing and teaching Nutritional Essential modules to doctors, nurses, health care assistance and other allied health professionals. The aim of this programme is to enhance their knowledge and understanding on current dietary trends and practices and to enable them to provide up to date quality care to their patients Ms. ALFehaidi has been actively involved and leading many of quality project and clinical research in long term and geriatric also she was speaker in different international conferences and webinar. Ms. ALFehaidi has developed patient care protocols on medical nutrition therapy and clinical practice guideline and protocols.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sohemy is a Full Professor and Associate Chair and held a Canada Research Chair in Nutrigenomics at the University of Toronto. He is also the Founder of Nutrigenomix Inc., and serves as the company’s Chief Science Officer. Dr. El-Sohemy obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard. The goal of his research is to understand how genetic differences modify response to diet for optimal health and performance, and also how genetic differences influence food preferences and eating behaviors. He has over 200 peer reviewed publications and has given more than 300 invited talks around the world. Dr. El-Sohemy is the recipient of several awards for excellence in research by the American College of Nutrition, the Canadian Society for Nutrition and the American Nutrition Association.

He is a member of many associations and societies, such as, a member of ESPEN, AAAS (AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE), a member New York Academy of sciences and a member of South African of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Member, Editorial Advisory Board of Nutrition, Abstract reviewer of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) and many others. Dr. Laviano’s main research interests are: regulation of food intake under physiological and pathological conditions, disease-associated anorexia and cachexia, hyperphagia and obesity, impact and treatment of hospital malnutrition. Prof. Laviano has over 140 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has authored more than 50 book chapters and more than 200 abstracts presented at National & International congresses. Prof. Laviano has delivered more than 200 invited lectures in both National and International events. He is also one of the authors of the most recent 2016 ESPEN guidelines on Nutrition in Cancer patients, as well as the 2017 ESPEN expert group recommendations for action against cancer related malnutrition.

Dr. Al Sawaei serves as a c in the tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Khoula Hospital since 2021. He earned his M.D. degree from Sultan Qaboos University and completed his pediatrics specialty board through the Oman Medical Specialty Board. Additionally, Dr. Al Sawai pursued a fellowship in perinatal-neonatal medicine at the University of Toronto in Canada. At Khoula Hospital's NICU, Dr. Al Sawai has played a pivotal role in establishing a small baby unit. This unit adheres to a set of guidelines and protocols that cover various aspects, such as feeding, ventilation management, skin care and intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) prevention. Beyond this, he demonstrates a particular interest in Neonatal Neurocritical care and has organized workshops focusing on neonatal brain monitoring and mechanical ventilation. Dr. Al Sawai actively participates in both international and local conferences.

Dr Ali Almehaidib is a consultant pediatric gastroenterologist, Department of Pediatrics, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSHRC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He completed his residency at KFSHRC and his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and clinical nutrition at Montreal Children’s Hospital, McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1994. Dr Almehaidib is currently the Head Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics, KFSHRC. The Chairman of Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Examination Committee, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Dr Almehaidib is the founder of Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship program in Saudi Arabia and has trained 43 fellows serving now as consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologists in different provinces of Saudi Arabia as well as Arabian Gulf countries. In 2006, he established the Riyadh pediatric Gastroenterology club monthly meeting. Dr Almehaidib is one of the founders of the Saudi Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and he serves as an elected Board member since it was established. He was the ex-chairman of the Scientific committee and the communication and marketing committee and currently he is the chairman of the Continuous Development Committee at SASPGHAN. Dr Almehaidib has 45 publications in peer revied journals and >200 presentations at national, regional and international conferences.

Dr. Atika earned her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Dublin) in 2008. She is a board-certified Family physician from Oman medical specialty board in 2017 and obtained her Arab board certificate in the same specialty in 2018. Dr. Atika became a Palliative Medicine and hospice care consultant after pursuing a fellowship from the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2020. She is part of the Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine consulting team at the Royal Hospital (Muscat). Dr. Atika has a strong interest in the development of palliative care in Oman, particularly in managing pain in patients with Cancer. She is an active member of the Omani Society of Family Physicians and its scientific committee. She is an associate lecturer and educator at Oman medical specialty Board. Dr. Atika looks forward to advocating and helping patients through a comprehensive assessment of pain and other psychosocial distress in the context of serious illnesses.

He worked at Baylor College of Medicine and University of Missouri in USA, King Fahad Medical City in Saudi Arabia, and he has been working in several hospitals in United Arab Emirates including University Hospital Sharjah, Kanad Hospital, Genesis Healthcare Center., and Burjeel Medical City Professor Ayman El-Hattab is heavily involved in research. He conducted many clinical research projects, and he has more than 100 publications, several book chapters, and many presentations in scientific conferences. Dr. El-Hattab’s research fields include chromosomal abnormalities, metabolic disorders, neurogenetic diseases, novel gene and syndrome discovery, and mitochondrial diseases. Professor El-Hattab has received several awards, and he was designated as one of the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University, USA in the report published in 10/2020.

Dr. Carla Prado is a Professor at the University of Alberta in Canada and a Campus Alberta Innovates (CAIP) Chair in Nutrition, Food and Health. She is the Director of the Human Nutrition Research Unit, a state-of-the-art research and training facility. Dr. Prado is an expert in assessing nutritional status through the precise measurement of body composition and energy metabolism. Her research has shown for the first time the prevalence and clinical implications of sarcopenic obesity (concurrent appearance of low muscle and high fat) in cancer, and has provided evidence of the independent effect of body composition on cancer recurrence, treatment and survival. The focus of her current research program is to develop targeted nutrition interventions for the prevention and treatment of low muscle mass in patients with cancer. She is currently the Principal Investigator of three randomized controlled trials investigating the impact of nutrition intervention on body composition and health. Dr. Prado holds a dietitian title from both Canada and Brazil. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, and has completed further training at the Cross Cancer Institute (Canada), the National Institutes of Health (USA) and Newcastle University (UK). She is currently a member of the GLIM Body Composition Working Group, and the Sarcopenic Obesity Consensus Group (ESPEN/EASO). She is an Associate Editor of Clinical Nutrition and the Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle. Dr. Prado is a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, a prestigious award that celebrates exceptional young Canadian leaders of all sectors.

I hold a position as an Assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy and Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdul-Aziz, for Health Science University in Riyadh. A master's degree and a High Diploma in Health Systems and quality management from Liverpool University in collaboration with King Saud University for Health Science. I won the First place award for my research by leading my team in Neonatal ICU from Saudi National Patient Safety Award in 2018 for his innovative project, which decreased Neonates fractures from twenty cases per year to Zero. I was one of the leaders in the innovation of new programs such as (Discharge Counseling, Neonatal Bone Health, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Strategic planning in education … etc.). Fatima obtained her BSc. in Nutrition with a Major in Dietetics from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, after which she went on to earn a Fulbright Scholarship and obtained a MSc. in Public Health Nutrition with a Minor in Public Health from the University of Knoxville-Tennessee in the United States. She has a passion for infant and child nutrition and her focus on diabetes was the drive behind her PhD thesis from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. She does write articles in various publications in addition to her various nutrition-based publications. She is guest speaker at University of Sharjah, delivers CME lectures and invited speaker at various international conferences. She is a manuscript reviewer of journals too. She is very well versed in the field of Enteral Tube feeds, Oral nutrition; Weight Management, DM, Diet during Various life stages, Malnutrition, Food allergy and intolerance, supplementary weaning foods, Special needs children, Renal nutrition and Diet for various Cardiac diseases and gastrointestinal disease conditions. She is a member of: ESPEN, AOADA, ASN and Life Member of IDA, IAPEN.

At Al Nahdha hospital, she worked in outpatient and inpatient pharmacy. Following her MSc degree, she worked in clinical pharmacy department. During that period, she had experience in the following words: Surgical, pediatric and internal medicine wards. In addition, she was a member of hospital HIV team and the secretary of hospital drug and therapeutic committee. She participated as a speaker in national and international conferences. After that, she got a PhD scholarship at University of Reading. She got the Outstanding academic performance award for the academic year 2017/18 from Oman cultural attaché' of London (03/2019) and best poster in scientific poster competition in Omani open day for two consecutive years. She published tow research papers and currently she is a lecturer of Medicinal Chemistry at Oman College of Health Sciences.

Dr. Nadine Zeeni is an Associate Professor of Nutrition and the Coordinator of Liberal Education-Sciences at the Lebanese American University (LAU). She joined LAU in 2009 as the first Nutrition Faculty member and contributed greatly in its establishment and expansion. She holds a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the American University of Beirut (2004), an MS in Human Nutrition from McGill University, Canada (2006) and a PhD in Human Nutrition from AgroParisTech, France (2009). Dr. Zeeni has strong research interests in the regulation of eating behavior. She has closely examined two fields in particular: appetite regulation and disordered eating behaviors. She recently developed an interest in the effects of social media use and dependence on body image and dietary habits. This topic is of great significance in light of the increasing use of social media and its possible detrimental effects on physical and mental health. Moreover, Dr. Zeeni worked closely with the World Food Programme (WFP) to help them assess the Health and Nutrition Summer camps that they offer to vulnerable children across Lebanon.

Afterwards she obtained her second bachelor degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics from Petra university in 2021 and currently, she is a clinical dietitian in a private clinic in Amman. Natasha is also a research assistant. She published a paper in the 2021 INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTETIONAL BIOLOGY conducted by NANCHANG HANGKONG UNIVERSITY, with the title “Awareness of food drug interactions amount Jordanian dietitians"". In this specific topic, Natasha conducted many training sessions in Amman for Jordanian dietitians so as to increase their knowledge and awareness in this field. Currently she is pursuing her third academic degree in Master’s of food science and nutrition in Petra University- Jordan as she has always been driven by her eagerness and motive to spread awareness in nutrition and fulfill her interest in scientific research.

Ms. Reem Al-Saadi is a Clinical Lead for Metabolic Dietetics and Director of Dietetics & Nutrition Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha-Qatar. She is also an Honorary Faculty Staff in Dietetics Department at Qatar University. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from Qatar University. Then, she did her postgraduate training in the dietary management of inherited metabolic disorders (IMD) at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto–Canada. She has a wealth of experience in pediatric and adult dietetics, having worked as a clinical dietetic specialist for almost 20 years. Her involvement in all aspects of IMD has spanned almost all her working life. As director of the Department, she helps oversee the inpatient/outpatient management of all IEM patients, diet and formula instruction, computer diet analysis, and the medical foods distribution center. Ms. Al-Saadi is one of the most trusted dietitians to Classical Homocystinuria (HCU) patients in Qatar and the Region. Her main research interests include maximizing the benefits of the early diagnosis through newborn screening (NBS) and pre-symptomatic treatment with diets to improve health outcomes and prognosis in children with IMD. In addition, Ms. Al-Saadi has contributed to many publications surrounding nutrition management and HCU. Ms. Al-Saadi participates in several projects that help with the development of translational clinical research. She is the Co-founder of MEMU (Middle East Metabolic University), which provide an academic training as well as practical aspects of dietetic management of IMD. She has also participated as a speaker in many national, regional and international IMD conferences. Her outstanding dedication and hard work in improving newborn screening and more specifically the HCU community.

Gastroenterologist and professor of nutrition in Nice, France, Stéphane Schneider heads the nutritional support unit of the Nice University Hospital and the regional centre for home parenteral nutrition. He is vice-president of the French-speaking society of clinical nutrition and metabolism (SFNCM), treasurer of the European society of clinical nutrition and metabolism (ESPEN), and former president of the French college of nutrition teachers. Three years after obtaining a doctorate in medicine, in the specialty of gastroenterology, at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, he became assistant professor, then professor, of nutrition. He also received the certificate of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He also holds a Master's degree from the University of Paris VII, a PhD in nutrition from the Paul Cézanne University and a diploma in continuing medical education from Harvard Medical School. Stéphane Schneider's research interests are intestinal failure, the effects of ageing and disease on nutritional status, but also the microbiota and intestinal diseases such as Crohn's disease or celiac disease. He is the author of 284 original articles, reviews, clinical cases and book chapters and has been a guest lecturer more than 400 times.

Wafaa Helmi Ayesh, Consultant Clinical Dietitian & Head of Nutrition at Al Tadawi General Hospital, is a leader in clinical nutrition. As President of the Middle Eastern Alliance of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition Congress, she contributes significantly to the field. Wafaa directs the Master's Degree in Applied Nutrition Program at the University of Sharjah and has a history of service at Dubai Health Authority. With a Master's in Food Science and Nutrition, she initiated projects like DHA@Home and Tummy Fish. Wafaa, the first Arab recipient of an ESPEN diploma, actively contributes to education, co-founding Sweetkidz Group and receiving awards such as the "Sheikh Hamdan Award" and "Excellence in Healthcare.
